Most "Traditional" Yagi Antenna's downfall with regular "dipole" driven elements is that they lack the frequency coverage / bandwidth necessary for cover both the full US UHF and VHF-Hi bands.. This model was carefully computer engineered and also uses a patented design for both a wider Yagi-Uda frequency coverage (designed for the current US remapped freqs) on both today's UHF and VHF bands without resorting to a Log Periodic element layout approach (more gain for its size). Two Sets of Vertical Corner Reflectors adding an array of additional elements to squeeze out more gain without exceeding 5ft of antenna length. Most HDTV antennas are largely focused on UHF with only mediocre VHF performance, this model offers long range on both of today's UHF and VHF-hi frequencies  (note: CH2s - Ch6s on your TV aren't VHF Low any longer, (outside of Philadelphia and a few pocket areas), VHF-low is no longer used today (despite channel used on your TV set), however this model even has some VHF-low abilities too (but it's design if focused on current frequencies which are in the UHF and VHF-hi bands). ATTIC MOUNTING - You will lose range if mounting indoors, antenna performance within attics will largely be determined by the materials inside and what's outside in the way.. For example, asphalt shingles will degrade performance to some degree.  However denser brick, concrete, stone, or metal walls / siding (electrical wiring in the way, panels, radiant barriers, window sills, aluminum siding can sometimes make indoor mounting near impossible and outdoor mounting above the roof heights may be necessary).
